Typerwriters Anonymous co-founders Elisabeth and Phillip Nails first met at the Ha-Ra in The Tenderloin at a send-off for a fellow poet. They proceeded to fall madly in love and transform their lives, guided by their mutual love of poetry.

It goes without saying that they left their hearts in San Francisco and yearn to continue building poetry projects and community with the amazing poets, musicians, writers and artists who keep The Bay’s radical imagination thriving. 

We’re building on these strengths and forging partnerships with local poets and artists to launch new projects.

We will also be hosting gatherings in 2023.
