Makes a perfect date, small gathering, celebration, or creative solo excursion.

Meet typewriters across eras:
rust-kissed relics, sculptural icons, click-ready classics, and reconditioned heirlooms built for another century.

Guided by a typewriter poet, you’ll type, explore, and roam the Secret Typewriter Museum.

About the Experience.

What is a Typewriter Tasting?
Think of a wine flight, but instead of swirling notes of oak and berry, you’re savoring the snap of keys, the velvet glide of a carriage, the whispery bell that announces you’re nearing the right margin.

We’ve gathered a small but mighty collection of hand-restored machines: antique classics from 1900s, 1940s workhorses, sleek 1960s portables, and the occasional eccentric oddball that insists you meet it on its own terms. Each one offers a different tactile voice, come see which typewriter speaks to your fingers and imagination.

It’s analogue joy, undistracted creativity, and micro-community magic rolled into one generous hour.

What to Expect.

  • You’ll arrive, settle in, and meet a curated collection of machines.

  • We’ll share their backstory and show you their secret handshakes.

  • You’ll type, laugh, discover new muscles in your forearms, and possibly fall in love.

  • You’ll compare and contrast machines, noticing their moods and mechanical accents.

  • You’ll leave with pages that feel like little time capsules of your afternoon.

Once your tasting experience has concluded you are free to explore the rest of the museum. Many more machines to see, several to type on, and a large variety of machines for sale, including the most exquisite of them all in our collection: the reconditioned typewriters by long-time Highland Park resident, Ruben Flores.

The museum also offers poetry to peruse, artistic conversation, an art making station, and art for sale.

It’s simple, grounding, and wildly fun.

We believe analogue tools create tiny pockets of community and attention.

Typing on a typewriter is a reminder that imperfection can be beautiful, that slowing down is courageous, and that stories feel different when they’re hammered into existence one letter at a time.

We’re here to help you rediscover that feeling.
